Online Advertising Intern

Effective Spend is looking for an Online Advertising Intern with a passion for promoting small / medium businesses and an interest in creating and managing effective marketing campaigns. Applicants must be enthusiastic, hard working, and possess core research, communication, marketing, and analytical skills. The ideal applicant will be able to commit to at least 15 hours per week and be able to come into the office when needed.

Effective Spend is an Internet Marketing Startup that takes a ROI focused approach to marketing clients’ products and services by utilizing best in class technology and an “in-house” style of communication and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Keyword Research - research consumer search queries and identify important search trends relevant to client campaigns.
• Competitive Analysis - compare client offering to that of the competition to forecast the potential profitability of each campaign.
• Campaign Creation - work with the account management team to produce strong, compelling search marketing campaigns.
• Campaign Optimization - test and optimize keywords, ad text, and image ads to improve campaign performance.
• Data Analysis - analyze client campaign data to measure performance based on key success metrics.
• Bid and Budget Management - perform budget and bid optimization to meet marketing objectives.

Benefits:

Compensation for this internship starts at $7.50 / hour and varies with experience. Our internships are designed to be a growth position for your career in online marketing and hopefully within our company. Unlike many marketing internships, you will be learning online marketing in a hands-on environment, not fetching coffee, making copies or picking up someone’s dry cleaning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year of college education
• Interest in online business and marketing trends
• Familiarity with Google Adwords and Google Analytics
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and math skills
