For more than 15 years, Brian has provided online marketing services in various capacities. After leading the marketing department of a top 250 internet retail company, he founded Effective Spend in 2008, intent on bringing cutting edge digital marketing management to a range of businesses and industries. Brian currently drives the operational strategy for the business and regularly gets his hands dirty by leading specific account management initiatives that allow for unrivaled client success and an ability to adapt the business to the fast-paced, ever-changing digital environment. Brian brings expertise in all things online marketing and is regularly sought out to give insight into search and social strategy.
My first job was taking apart F16 engines for my father’s aircraft parts business.
Natalia joined Effective Spend in 2011, and has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the company. This proud Austin native is a marketing dynamo. She holds an advertising degree with a concentration in media planning from UT Austin, has more than a decade of experience in marketing and advertising (seven of those specializing in PPD), and has worked on both the in-house and agency side.

Jason has more than 17 years of experience in business development, E-commerce, retail, B2B, and startup companies. He thrives in fast paced environments where leadership, innovation, and problem solving skills are a must. His true professional passion is growing retail and technology companies, and building high performance teams.
Heather joined Effective Spend as employee #3, and the majority of her professional career has been focused in PPC marketing. As a true PPC guru, she has worked with clients in various industries including education, ecommerce, tech, and SaaS solutions. She currently leads Effective Spend’s social advertising and lead generation accounts.
I’ve been skateboarding since I was 10 years old.
7 years ago, Alex joined Effective Spend as the first-ever hire. After spending 2 years learning the ins and outs of Paid Search, he took a hiatus to start and run his own eCommerce business, FringeSport. 4 Years, $10M in revenue, 25,000+ happy customers and 30 team members later, he successfully sold FringeSport. Alex returned to Effective Spend to develop all areas of our business and to help our partners achieve the best possible results by marrying Paid Search into a holistic business strategy.
In the late 90’s I beat Kyle Stoldt to win the professional laser tag national championship.
With more than 7 years experience in online marketing, Kyle currently manages Effective Spend’s pure play eCommerce clients. Kyle Stoldt studied business marketing at Sonoma State University, and then gained experience in international commerce while living in Shanghai for several years. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys traveling and food trucks.

Holly has developed, managed, and optimized marketing strategy for a variety of lead generation and e-Commerce businesses since 2009. She leads a team with a primary focus on e-Commerce accounts in a large range of verticals including Retail, Healthcare, and Tech through traditional search marketing, display advertising, and paid social (told you, full package). This Austin native is a graduate of the University of Texas and holds a B.A. in Economics and Government.
I’m scared of heights but enjoy skydiving and bungee jumping.
Paula has been with Effective Spend since 2012 and has an extensive background in digital media buying and planning space. She is regularly brought in to consult potential clients on strategic account implementations to improve their bottom line. Paula’s team manages a wide range of traditional SEM accounts, as well as social and programmatic display marketing clients. She is a native Texan, and University of Texas alum.
I have seen every episode of Friends at least 4 times.
Dan has worked in paid search for the past 7 years and has developed a wide range of well-known brands in New York City. It was his work in the criminal justice field studying digital footprints that awoke his interest in marketing. Dan possesses the infectious tenacity vital in successfully leading his team of millennial marketing professionals, who position client success as a top priority. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, going to the movies, and trying new recipes.
I lived in Germany for 10 years
Carter is a Texas native and the second half of our dynamic data-duo, where he helps analyze and translate technical data into comprehensive, useful language. He has an extensive background in ETL design, data warehousing, and visualization; obtaining his B.A. in economics and his M.S. in Business Analytics from Southern Methodist University.

Kerry is the PR & SEO Manager at Effective Spend. Kerry comes to Effective Spend with experience in both the B2B and B2C sectors. Her core focus is to build brand authority and awareness by guiding the off-page SEO strategy for our clients. Kerry has landed coverage in both print and broadcast publications nationwide, including but not limited to US News, Business Insider, Forbes, CBS and CNN. Kerry is from Maryland and a Winthrop University alum.
In high school I lettered in five sports: Lacrosse, Track, Soccer, Tennis, and Indoor Track
Kate has over eight years of experience managing large budget e-commerce and lead generation paid search accounts across multiple verticals. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in anthropology. Kate lives with her husband and step-daughter in the small town of Buda, just south of Austin, Texas.
I geek out on all things science fiction.
Erica has been in the business of paid search for 6 years, 3 of those have been spent at the agency level. She has worked with clients from an extensive variety of industries – tech, healthcare, hospitality, and beauty retailers (just to name a few). At Effective Spend, she is the Serena Williams of the lead generation team – back-swinging and acing leads like a true lead master. The Seattle native attended Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and received her B.A. in Communication. She enjoyed her time there that so much she decided to go back, and is currently pursuing her MBA online.
I used to practice karate as a kid and placed 2nd in Washington State; going on to National’s where I placed 7th.
Maya is a graduate of Boston’s Wellesley College. Two years ago, she traded Boston’s cold winters for Austin’s hot summers, and we’re glad that she did (so is she). Maya’s professional portfolio includes managing paid media and marketing strategies for fortune 500 lead generation accounts. Currently, she is working on adding to her library of filled passports, having already traveled to fifteen countries.

Brittany is a Houston native who came to Austin to study advertising at the University of Texas. Her professional background includes work in online lead generation and eCommerce for a variety of business verticals. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to crime podcasts and drinking beers on the patio.
I restore old furniture and make it cute again.
Nidal is a graduate of Texas State University where he earned his B.A. in Marketing. He first joined Effective Spend in 2015 as an intern, and now works as a Senior Campaign Manager and IT Manager. Nidal lived in four different countries before moving to Texas. His role at Effective Spend includes lead generation, paid search accounts, and in-house tech guru, master of all things computer related.

Karl came to us here at Effective Spend from Dublin Ireland, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Innovation and Technology and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Dublin City University. Having taught marketing at the college level, and with experience working in a Multinational corporation and with a number of smaller organizations, Karl brings a strong marketing background coupled with the digital and analytical skills to help our clients thrive in the PPC arena.
Trained in Tae Kwon Do for 13 years and has a 3rd Degree Black Belt.
Kenny comes to Effective Spend with a strong social marketing background (the guy worked at Facebook). This native of San Antonio attended the University of Texas, receiving his B.A. in Government and Spanish. He is part of the ecommerce team and continues to develop as a direct response and lead generation expert.
When I was 10, I lived in an all-inclusive resort in Mexico for about 8 months.
Trevor grew up in Belton, TX where he attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and received his B.A. in Business Administration while playing baseball. Trevor manages social and SEM accounts while also contributing with graphic design, video editing, web development & UX design to help clients succeed in multiple aspects of online marketing.

Nena grew up in Indonesia, and came to Texas as a high school exchange student. After a great exchange year, she decided to stay and continue her education in the United States. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Master in Professional Accounting. Her role on the business development team involves developing innovative analytic reports designed to offer clients a comprehensive view at account performance.
I took 8 years of piano lessons, 1 year of classical guitar lesson, and 1 year of bass guitar lesson, but can barely play any of the instruments now.
Zak is a native of Wisconsin and graduate of Texas Tech University; where he earned degrees in Business Management and Marketing. He began his career in digital marketing in 2015 working for Facebook. He joined the Effective Spend team in 2016, where he works in our PPC department helping clients efficiently scale paid search campaigns and grow their businesses.

Denny grew up in New Zealand before returning to Texas to pursue his Marketing Degree at Texas State University. He came to Effective Spend having previously specialized in international motorsports and automotive marketing. Denny currently manages ecommerce and lead generation for click & mortar, SaaS, and pure play ecommerce clients.
I used to race cars and now do driver coaching to teach people how to drive fast on a track.
Jared is a Texas native, graduate of Brigham Young University (where he received a B.A. in marketing), and both literal and figurative rock star. His well-rounded professional portfolio includes product management, pricing and data analysis, but his true passion lies in digital marketing. Jared is a Campaign Manager at Effective Spend, and true SEM virtuoso. In his down time he enjoys soccer, music composition, song writing and eating spicy food.

Tara is a Seattle native and graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans. She comes to Effective Spend with a background in paid search advertising. Tara currently contributes to the management of paid search and social campaigns for various eCommerce clients.
I grew up working on my family’s winery on an island across from Seattle.
Margaret is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, where she received a B.A. in Markets & Culture and a minor in Advertising. Her concentration of study in the data analytics of globalization has greatly added to her passion for digital advertising and its impact on consumer culture. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Margaret has traded in Capitol Hill for the capital of Texas and dedicates her free time to exploring Austin’s best food trucks.
