4 for 4! Effective Spend One of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies Four Years Running

For the 4th year in a row, Effective Spend is back on the Inc. 5000! We’ve maintained the prestigious honor of being among America’s fastest-growing companies with a 102% growth rate during the qualifying 3-year window. This list gives a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses. We are proud to once again be among the ranks of the 2022 Inc. 5000 class, a group that not only found a way to preserver amid supply chain woes, labor shortages, and the ongoing impact of Covid-19, but also add more than 68,394 jobs for Americans!

“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today.”

Growth

2021 was a year of tremendous growth for Effective Spend. We opened a physical office for our Los Angeles team so they are no longer restricted to remote work and established a squad in Colorado. Not only did we add to our national footprint, we also outgrew our office located on South Congress Ave in downtown Austin. Seeing the need for more space, Effective Spend purchased and expanded to a large building in East Austin, formerly the United Way for Greater Austin. This well-known landmark building is the home to one of Austin’s most beloved murals, You’re My Butter Half. This move was a sort of homecoming for us as we launched our first office in East Austin.

Office space isn’t the only way we have grown recently. In August of 2022, Effective Spend partnered with Optimad Media, DSPolitical, and UNTU to create a new organization, Optimal. Combining each company’s expertise, technology, and proprietary data, Optimal offers a full scope of performance-based digital marketing services, including paid search and social, search engine optimization, programmatic, connected TV, performance creative, and more.

Together we boast a fast-growing team of more than 200 dedicated digital media strategists, technologists, and industry experts. Combined, we now have even wider digital and performance marketing expertise and a shared vision to bring the best data, technology, and people together to help consumers, healthcare, public affairs, business-to-business, entertainment, and political brands. This new partnership gives us the flexibility to expand rapidly to take on bigger projects and better serve our current clients.

Best Places To Work

We are not only growing fast, but we’re maintaining our culture while we do it. This year, the Austin Business Journal named Effective Spend as one of Austin’s Best Places to Work! Being the 4th time we’ve made this list, we hold great pride in this achievement, especially in a time of employee disengagement. Culture is at the heart of Effective Spend’s foundation. It is important that our employees feel connected, valued, and enjoy what they do. With opportunities to get together within and outside of the office in social settings, such as skee ball, social sports, happy hours, and office parties, our employees feel engaged in their roles at the office and on their teams. Celebrating holidays and important events such as our annual summer party and company-wide New Year’s celebration gives us the opportunity to connect with one another and establish a strong team-centric culture.

Philanthropy opportunities are extremely important to our employees and we love opportunities to serve in our community. Over the past 12 months, we participated in packing meal boxes at Austin’s Central Texas Food Bank, organized a clean-up around Ladybird Lake with Keep Austin Beautiful, helped prepare for the grand opening of Austin Farm Sanctuary, took on Movember to raise money and awareness, and hosted a blood drive with We Are Blood. We foster a culture where anyone can tackle causes they believe in with the company’s support, be it organizing a larger-scale event with the whole team or using our charity-specific PTO to do something on their own.
